Why supply chain is the most important in apparel sector?


 


Supply chain is the great play role in the apparel sector. Moreover, it is critical & important part in garments sector. Everywhere has a supply chain but apparel industry supply chain is the different to each other. In modern day, we cannot imagine without supply chain. Without effective & efficient supply chain we cannot execute on time shipment. We should have proper supply chain management raw materials to Consumer. Supply chain is the chain that connected network of raw materials to consumer. After read this article everybody can easily understand the importance of supply chain management in the following.

Raw Materials:

Basically, raw material is the primary substance which is used as an input to a production process for subsequent modification and finally modified into finished goods. Many times it is process or unprocessed condition. Fabric made by Yarn. So, yarn is the raw materials for fabric. Fiber is the raw materials of yarn. So, fabric made fiber to yarn then fabric. They maintain supply chain. If supply chain is not properly apply & the fabric will not make. Then supply chain will be fail & delay. So, it should need on time fiber to yarn to fabric then it will ship on time to garments manufacturer.

Supplier:

Supplier is the very important portion for garments sector. There are many supplier connect with garments manufacturer. Garments make by different items. There is some suppliers name in the following.

  • Fabric supplier.
  • Thread supplier.
  • Zipper Supplier.
  • Button Supplier.
  • Tag Supplier.
  • Poly & Carton Supplier.

Garments manufacturer:

Garments manufacturer is one of the supply chain part. Moreover, manufacturer place order different items to supplier if it will not come any items on time then it will be delay to making garments. So, supply chain will affect & cannot make on time garments. If recover plan is not right time action it will not ship just in time. Garment manufacturing has also supply chain process such as store-cutting-production-washing-finishing.


Warehouse

Warehouse is the most important part of supply chain in apparel sector. After final audit goods will go to warehouse. Required time it will picked by logistic to reach the sea port.


Logistic Department:

Logistic department is the great part of supply chain. Moreover, without logistic support goods cannot go to the port. That the reason, logistic department arrange all documentation to ship the goods. So, this department is connected the goods to port.


Mode of Shipment:

Goods shipment through different ship of mode like as below

  • Sea
  • Air
  • By Road

Mode of shipment is the part of supply chain in apparel sector. In addition, without mode of shipment we cannot shipment uncertain. So, we should know ship of mode then it will proceed on smoothly supply chain process.


Customer Warehouse:

Customer warehouse also part of supply chain. After reach the goods in customer warehouse then it will keep warehouse & store it nicely. After that it will send to distribution center. If any goods not sent on time then it will not sell & supply chain will be affected.


Distribution Center:

Distribution center is one of the supply chain parts in apparel sector. Moreover, these goods distribute into different retail store. If properly not distribute goods on time then supply chain will affect .This distribution center send differ types of product in different season.


Retail Store:

Retail store is the part of supply chain. We know that a retail store that sell smaller quantities of products to the general public. Consumers buy product from retail store & display different types of product in this store. Anyway, without retail store consumer cannot buy the product. So it the very important part of supply chain.


Consumer:

Consumer is the very necessary for supply chain in apparel sector. Moreover, consumer is the “Boss” because he will buy the product his own willingly. So, we can say that a consumer who purchases the product or services for his personal use is called consumer. In addition, consumer refers to any person who purchases some goods for a consideration that has been either paid or promised to pay.
